
In anticipation of the arrival of Rob's parents, I decided that I would attempt at making Chiles Rellenos (stuffed poblano peppers,) a traditional meal here. So after Lucas went down for his nap on Saturday morning, I got going on prepping the meal. I ended up having to recruit both mom and Rob and the recipe still took until eight o'clock at night to complete - with very little break in between! It was a comedy of errors mostly involving ardous meat shredding, copious pepper dicing, dangerous pepper grilling, de-seeding and stuffing, trying to beat egg whites without a mixer and deep frying while trying to keep them stuffed.
